Lechleiter, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of importing counterfeit Viagra. The case is being investigated by U. S. A federal indictment is currently pending in New York state District Court, Manhattan. The man had allegedly shipped a banned drug, called "sildenafil." It is the first time a substance has been found in the United States.
Lechleiter, who is also accused of being a co-conspirator in the case, was charged with a crime in a lawsuit filed in state court in Brooklyn federal court on January 16. The defendant was found to be importing counterfeit Viagra. The lawsuit states that "the defendant illegally imported the counterfeit Viagra without a prescription and has imported the counterfeit Viagra without a prescription."
The man was not charged in the lawsuit. A federal indictment is currently pending in Illinois District Court. The man is currently being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Jennifer S.
